Our Lady's First Communion Programme 2017/18
Preparation of our children for making their First Communion is a shared responsibility between family, parish and school. The parish programme will take the following format in 2017/18.
Parents meetings:
Before the programme starts there is a meeting for parents/guardians of the children to explain the programme, answer any questions and to make clear what the commitment is.
Parents have the choice to attend either the meeting at 7.00pm on 29th September or 10.30am on 30th September 2017.

Applications for the 2017/18 Programme are now closed.
Preparation sessions for the Children:
There are 10 preparation sessions for the children each of which lasts for one and a half hours on a Saturday morning in the parish hall beginning at 9.30am. Dates for these sessions in 2017 are:
7th and 21st October; 4th and 11th November; 2nd December and in 2018 6th January, 3rd February, 3rd March, 14th April and 12th May.
Special Masses
In addition to the sessions above the children and their families are asked to make the 9.30am Mass their normal family Sunday Mass on the following dates:
12th November 2017, 4th February and 13th May 2018.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation (First Confessions) will be on Saturday 20th May in the morning. There will be a practice on the evening of Friday 19th May.
First Communion Day(s)
The First Holy Communion mass will be on Saturday 2nd June. There will be a practice on the evening of Friday 1st June.
If there are more than 30 children making their First Holy Communion we will split the group and half will make their First Holy Communion on 2 June and the other half on Saturday 9 June with a practice on Friday 8 June.
