Coming to Mass at Our Lady's

There is a public celebration of Mass at Our Lady's on Sundays at 5.00pm and Wednesdays at 10.00am. If online booking for the Mass you would like to attend is closed feel free to ring the parish as space may be available.
Book for Wednesday 6th january 10.00am Mass  ** NOte change of time**
book for  Sunday 10th january 5.00pm mass
In the present circumstances it is important to stress that the bishops have suspended the Sunday Obligation to attend Mass. We look forward to welcoming people back to worship, but you mustn't feel under any kind of pressure to come until you feel safe doing so, and you certainly should not attend if you are feeling unwell.

For the time being we will continue to live-stream the 10.00am Sunday Mass which cannot be attended in person.

The Polish community have resumed their regular Masses again with a 6.30pm Saturday evening Vigil Mass. Following the risk assessment, there are currently no public Masses being celebrated at St. Joseph's, Green Hammerton.

To request places at Mass please complete the online booking form (links above) or call the parish office (01904 791242) between 9.00am and 12.00noon on a Tuesday or a Thursday.

With social distancing the seating capacity of the church is much less than usual. If, when all the bookings are in, there isn’t room for everyone then we will have to move some people to the following week but, don’t worry, we will let you know if this is the case.

When you enter the church there will be hand sanitisers for you to use, and stewards to direct you to your seat which will have been allocated in advance - this is to allow proper social distancing so that people are safe. There will also be a one-way system in place. Wearing of masks is now obligatory because of government regulations unless, of course, you are exempted for health reasons. If you forget your mask we will have spares here for you to use. The church will be disinfected on a regular basis.
