A number of activities for children are being held in York this summer ...
Holiday Activities & Food: for children eligible for free school meals
A range of holiday activity schemes are available for children and young people in York this summer. To find out if your child is eligible and how to book a place, contact your child’s school. The sessions include a variety of fun activities, including sports, music, arts and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills, alongside a nutritious meal each day. Eligible children can choose from a list on the City of York Council website, or choose to take up a place up at other registered holiday clubs, subject to availability.

Kickabout Sessions (York City Football Club Foundation)
Children (age groups 4-6, 7-9 and 10-13) are invited to free fun physical activity sessions with coaches from York City F.C. The sessions are happening in three different locations:
Chesney Fields (Foxwood Lane): Fridays 6th & 20th August & 3rd September.
Knavesmire: Tuesdays 27th July, 3rd, 10th, 17, 24th & 31st August
Woodthorpe Green: Fridays 30th July, 13th & 27th August
