Advent & Christmas 2020

Christmas 2020 will be very different to our usual parish celebrations due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, but we still hope you will join us in festive spirit. Below are details of activities this Advent and Christmas.

All activities are online or at Our Lady's Church in Acomb; sadly no events are currently possible at St. Joseph's, Green Hammerton.

For details of the Polish Chaplaincy events taking place, please contact the Chaplaincy.

At the bottom of this page you will see an invitation for you to contribute to a parish recording of 'Away in a Manger'. We need voices and/or photos.

CONTRIBUTE TO OUR PARISH RECORDING OF
AWAY IN A MANGER

The Covid-19 pandemic is keeping us physically apart this Christmas, but we'll be uniting online as a parish for a live-streamed "First Mass of Christmas" at 8pm on Christmas Eve, 24th December. We'd like parishioners to send in photos that we can use to create a video montage, and - if possible - to record themselves joining in singing "Away in a Manger". Watch this video to get details from John of how to take part, and then email your file(s) to John.
